Game preview: On the fly

The Bruins are in Atlanta tonight to play against the Thrashers (14-14-1). Tonight's game is the first game of the season between these two teams.

The Bruins will be starting Alex Auld (2-0-0) in goal again. (I would put his stats with Boston, but they list his season's totals. Eh, I'll figure it out when I have more time.)

The Bruins will be getting some players in the line-up. Vladimir Sobotka will be returning to the line-up after missing the last three games. Defenseman Andrew Ference will also be returning tonight after he is activated from the injured reserve. Ference missed 12 games with a sprained knee.

Marco Sturm will be out of the line-up tonight as he wasn't cleared for action because of the swelling around his eye. Sturm could play against the Devils tomorrow.
