Defenseman Dennis Wideman, slated for an arbitration hearing later this month, avoided it completely by agreeing to a new contract with the Bruins. Wideman's four year deal is worth $15.75 million.
There should be some kind of salary cap relieving move forthcoming.

3.9 million a year. I love Wideman but that's absurd.

It's actually 3.25 million for next year. That's far more reasonable.
So who gets bought out?
