Caption This: Week VIII

I started my four day vacation on Saturday and should be relaxing on a beach somewhere. But vacation doesn't stop me from writing the weekly Caption This posts.

The photo was taken during a practice in 2006. The amount of practices I went to last season dwindled down so much that there isn't even an album dedicated to it, unlike previous seasons. That's sad. That should change this upcoming season, and there will hopefully be most training camp and game albums also.

When the Celtics schedule came out last week, I immediately created a Boston sports calendar consisting of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Did you know that the Bruins and Celtics will have two doubleheaders at the TD Banknorth Garden? The first is the day after Thanksgiving when the Bruins play at noon, followed by the Celtics at 7:30. The other doubleheader is on Martin Luther King day in January, when the Bruins play at 1 and the Celtics play at 8. The Bruins not only conflict with the Patriots on October 20th (home opener vs. Monday Night football), but also when the Bruins host the Montreal Canadiens on November 13th. The Patriots host the New York Jets that night.

The following picture is perfect for describing exactly how this upcoming collective Boston sports season makes me feel. That's why I needed the vacation.

What is making Patrice Bergeron yawn?

Oh my god, Patrice lost his legs! His recovery might take a little longer than I imagined...
