Tuukka Rask got the start in goal tonight. P.J. Axesslon scored the first goal of the game at 11:39 assisted by Marc Savard and Andrew Alberts.
The Wings tied it early in the third period scoring a power play goal while it was 4-on-3. Michael Ryder gave the Bruins the lead back scoring his first goal as a Bruin at the 6 minute mark. The goal was assisted by David Krejci and Milan Lucic.
That was all the Bruins would need in their 2-1 win.
Manny Fernandez was supposed to start the game, but bruised his thumb during warm-ups.
