The Bruins signed center Stephane Yelle today to a one-year contract. I'm not too familiar with him, other than I think he was on the Dallas Stars Colorado Avalanche when they won the cup?
I passed along the signing to a friend who said it was, "awesome" so I'll go with that reaction. The signing definitely adds some depth to the team, similar to Glen Metropolit last season.
The one year deal is worth $750,000.
Also, be sure to check out Fluto's post about Matt Lashoff. I have had this debate with some Bruins fans about whether or not Lashoff "has it" and will be more than a Bubble Bruin. I am usually under the belief that Lashoff has already proven what he will be in the NHL, a defenseman who will only fill in when injuries pop up.
The only advantage is he's still young (21) and has room for improvement. But I'm already calling for him not to make the roster out of training camp.
