Goals? Who needs them?

Wishing Patrice Bergeron had more than 3 goals this season? Thought Andrew Ference would have had a goal by now?

Scoring isn't everything when it comes to hockey. Obviously scoring more goals in a game wins the game, but preventing goals helps winning games too.

On the defensive side, the Bruins aren't too shabby according to the NHL's top defensive players posted by James Mirtle, found through the Globe blog.

Defensemen Dennis Wideman and Andrew Ference rank in the top ten of defensive defensemen. Forwards Marco Sturm and Patrice Bergeron are in the top 20 in defensive forwards.

That begs me to ask, Goals? They don't need no stinkin' goals... As long as somebody else is scoring enough to win.

As long as they have a good defense system (global) than relying on goaltender being almost perfect, due to lack of offense...as it used to be with Habs when Théodore was in the net. He had to be almost perfect in the nets, since his the team was struggling on offense.
