Busy week for Krejci

David Krejci sure had a busy week. The forward was inked to a three-year extension on Tuesday. The annual cap hit of the contract is $3.75 million. Krejci, 23, had 73 points in the 2008-2009 season, led the NHL in plus/minus with +36 and won the Seventh Player Award.

It didn't stop there for Krejci who had his hip surgery earlier today. He is expected to miss 4-6 months. He had an impingement in one of his hips. The surgery was arthroscopic.

Krejci was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1st. The remaining restricted free agents are Phil Kessel, Matt Hunwick and Byron Bitz.
