Bruins look to bounce back

The Boston Bruins are hosting the Carolina Hurricanes tonight in their second game of the season. The Bruins are looking to bounce back from their 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on opening night. The Hurricanes lost 2-0 against the Philadelphia Flyers in their home opener last night.

There are some familiar faces on the other end of the ice tonight. Former Bruins Aaron Ward, Stephane Yelle, Andrew Alberts and Sergei Samsonov are all expected to be in the line-up.

Tim Thomas will start in goal for the Bruins for his second consecutive game. Cam Ward will be starting for the Hurricanes.

This game has been circled on Bruins fans' calendars since July. It marks the first meeting since the Hurricanes eliminated the Bruins from the playoffs in the second round. The series went seven games and Scott Walker scored the overtime goal.

Let's hope the Bruins have a better game than they did on Thursday night.
