The NHL opens the 2009-2010 season tonight. It felt like October 1st would never get here. The summer was long, drawn out and mostly rainy. September flew by, and here we are on the day hockey returns.
The Bruins host the Capitals tonight in their home opener. I am sure most Bruins fans can't wait to put the 2009 playoffs behind them. It's a new season with new expectations and hopes. There are unknowns how the season will go and how it will turn out after 82 regular season games, and that's part of the fun. Not knowing where this 2009-2010 Bruins team will go and what they will achieve when it's all done. They can build off of last season and continue to be one of the best contenders in the Eastern conference.
There's no more waiting to see what this team can do when they play their first game tonight. The game can be seen exclusively on Versus. There is a pre-game show starting at 6:30 and game time is at 7.
With the new season, the new website design was launched. It was supposed to be up in September, but I kept hitting delays. There are going to be some spots that look funky or incomplete, and that will be normal until I get around to fixing them. Overall, everything looks to be a success. I will be making minor tweaks to the design next week and adding links.
The new layout should be extremely mobile browser friendly and fast loading on any browser. I am a Firefox user by day, but also tested the layout in Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome. If something appears weird for you, please let me know.

I still have a bad taste in my mouth from the 7th game of the Carolina series. Thank goodness for hockey.
Expectations are high and the Bruins need to join the Boston championship party!
Nice website btw.
